Tuesday, July 7th, °9--«continuaxn» Bright and early last

Tuesday, the fierce foursome had real coffee at the bistro.

We also had a hearty breakfast at our best favourite diner.

After that^ we strained and rushed and broke our souls to

dislodge the contents of the big Apartment toward the rooming

row. Yet with all the frenetic whirlwind of hustle, my brothre

and i still managed to get into a minor car accident.

My staff=sargeant did the last of the car=work while i rode

my bicycle from one to t'other, the comfy place to the more

interesting one. We All schlept like tops...

That evening, i met Señor BORGES on the porch. We had a fine

confabulation, altho he is moving to a better building. Amigo.

Thursday, i ate my grits al fresco, checkt my e=mail at the

Library & fulfilled my Application for a second SocSec card.

Had lunch with the Lutherans. Wandering away from the Library

again, i found a free bus pass tosst in the trash! i used it

to travel to the old place, where my former LandLord helped me

put Pop's box=spring and mattress & my Jewish godmom's comfy

[but ratty] chair to the curb. He noted that we could put extra

bulk items out because,"I've got four units here...the collectors

don't know if it's all from one Apartment." Saturday was the true

Holiday for me so i managed to launder my dirty clothing at the

coin=op in Town. The firewerx that night were barely visible through

the alley--but we enjoyed them less=the=none. *end of Part Two*

«To Serve Man» by the Cannamids... [reposit of 7/14/o9]

The Sun=Day after Independence day, i rode my bicycle to cherch.

But i got there too early at first & too late at last! Never mind~

my Pastoress allowed me to have some cake and coffee for the

cruise back into Town. Somehow, i found a free newspaper in the trash

near a small groxery schtore! The black cherry soda i had cost me 35¢.

After stowing the bike in my 'room', i walkt to the ART MUSEUM. {this

is also a religious act} Later, i poppt into a raucous Spanish

service on Tenth Avenue. Big musica... At six, i fell in with the

closest Presbyterians; we sang and studied one of the Psalms. At

GRESSER PARK [anothre cathedral] while the brass band played

i bumpt into my exercising sister, Cat. She is now mostly caught

up on my most recent camping adventures. Mild. Altho i waited

diligently for my regular bus on Monday at Tenth Avenue, i was

spirited to werk by friend and customer, BOB. Acause of the current

wonderful weathre, the Yard was mobbed for most of the day. Nice

night to walk as well. Tuesday--You haven't lived until you've

shaved in the kitchen sink using a steel pot cover for a mirror!

The lunch pantry was well attended but the salisbury steak was very

tough. Blueberry pie made up for that. i bussed to the career centre

and tweaked my résumé. {to think of all the address & fone numbre

changes i have yet to make} On Wednesday, drifer JOHN showed me

how to attach the bicycle to the bus. He gave me a gold star when

i unhitcht it at my werk stop. MAISY was kind to call me near the

end of Business and update me on her brother=in=law's progress at

the Houston hospital; his cytoreduction apparently went quite well.

Prayer! i rode the bike 'home' in 53 minutes. [it's mostly downhill

from the Parish into Town.] Xilerating and not at all hazardous.

Thursday was anothre gorgeous day to walk & ride, eat Sloppy Joes,

run a small laundry, attend an ART Reception AND meet a new

upstairs roomy. He is not much happy to be in transition, but

he is a pleasant Fellow. "Drama, Drama" Friday, i gathered my

rent from the bank and the credit union, scored the needed

money ordre AND just missed the charity van at the old Place.

Mere moments! It turns out to be just as well~cause JEFF has

people interested in the remaining detritus. {i'll miss that

dark mirror and Hane's final chest of drawers...}

That evening i finisht some ancient chicken soop and chekt out

Mike's bingo on Tenth and the Mall. No Mike. Some days are just

like that. ~slac~ ^posted as byke to Slack--the Log & to SpaceMy^

o7/11/2k1o~~The beautifull, beauty=full Rain came Yester-morn; it was

the welcomest thing in all the week! But it did prevent me from cycling to

werk. Also, the concierge and his compatriot came early enuf in the wet

to purge JERSEY's room. Which also made me leaf early for the j-bus.

{i've not forgotten how to ride the publik conveyances.} i walk well with an

umbrella and non=anti-wet boots. The Yard itself was lightly attended yet

perfectly equipt. Customer friend MARTHA came three times when the

sun reappeared...This^ whirlwind, tumultuous week=end continued from

my walking settlement into the less humid Risingness. The lord and his

leige poppt back into the dormitory at 0745 antemeridian, just after my

showre & third moka, with intent and meaning to polish a great many

linoleum® tiles on the second floor. {the concierge must already have a

'biter' on JERSEY's pad} It was too up=heaving for me to haul out my

wheels and travel Perfectly...so i walkt the dé away again. It's good for

the pedalling muscles to periodically surrender to the pedestrian ones.

One may notice, of late, that i'm missing my grand breakfasts; yet i

make up for their Absences as the dé wears on. And~i never forget to

take my medicines with prayers. This^ is my testing Strength.

Thereof~i schpoke with an afflicted one by the Fountain at the park,

i took in a populous Baptism at the LUTHERANRY, i gleaned the NOSH

of melon=slice & half a bagle in the PRESBY cellar Afore my buddy,

SCOTT, lookt after the offering of the meal. [NB: my schmall cherch is

schtill lacking a Musician to lead its chanting; WE make a good sound

when WE try hard enuf] Then, discovering that the polishing trial was

incomplete, i went to the ART Museum! Such bright sun, such cool

places to visit; why would any=one remain in their Troubled tent?

it pondres me Acause i have been camping almost five (5) years now.

What are the bettre conditions which might prevail?? ~rhetorically

A cautionary note for recent grads~It's a dangerous werld out there,

even though you think your Education is over. Regard the fambly

Holloway and their pain---ponder the lives cut short by over-exuberant

Partying. Cry out against random criminalities. We adults may have

frogged up this place, but it's your WERLD now! Be careful. Much.

Happy Fathers' Day! I've got enuf cards and scarves & funny Boxers

myself...I wish i knew who keeps sending them. Anyway~Dad may look

like a protoplasmic ATM to you, but he has feelings too. Plus+, he has to

live with Mom. Smooch the grizzled old geezer when he least expects it.

{the things which were true and actual in the past, continually recur}

Friday, June 18th, 2o1o...Welcome to the Hotel symbiosis. It's a lovely

Place & i'm the manager of the second floor. As MIAMI guards the gate,

i schtand firmly with utility & humility at the top of the Schtairs...it is

the best werk i've ever done. But enuf about me. There are dozens of

Persons i am exquisitely connected to and through. True dat.

Sunday, June 20th, 2o1o...acause i am the Father of my own miseries,

i'm gonna recount some of the past which has escaped previous

entries {Quoi?} Last SunDay, i brot sauerkraut to the MORAVIAN

cherch picnic; how would Blair's flock eat hot dogs without it? [it is my

second such outing--i fear i will become known as the kraut man.]

Monday was multiply blesst: the new Roomy, INDIANA, ferried me

to werk in his borroed car; my one Italian elderman customer gave me

a Toaster=Oven. [Toasters in the bunkhaus have been routinely

destroyed by MIAMI; i'm gonna wait a bit to bring this gift 'home']

Also, some=how, the concierge put out the garbage and nothing was lost!

The walk home was three and a half (3½) times as long as a bicycle

ride, which makes one Appreciate the invention of the wheel. {Does

a bike have one wheel in front of the other OR one wheel behind the

other?} Tuesday morning, after the antecommunion, SCOTT was kind

enuf to let me change my rear tube Yet again; he patcht the tiny

puncture that i had incurred last week. Ergo~i have a functional bike

and three (3) tubes. The lunch at Saint Paul's was adequate, and who

can fault free=food? The bread was 'ebony & ivory' yet it molds too

fast. {i took the lunches this week on account of the shortness of my

Memorial dé earnings} For these and othre sins, i was Commisioned

to warsh the schtanding showre...Five (5) men can go thru a lot of

showres in a Summer & the Soapiness doesn't clean itself.

There are many gifts which Presently come my wé Unbidded: CARL,

the customer who has Advanced lung cancer, brang me a tiny flashing

light which can be attached almost any=where SO that people can see

that One is walking or riding on the mean streets. {it pondres me much

with all this gear whethre i am riding the bicycle Or that the bicycle is

riding me} Customer/friend DON came by in the afternoon to show me

pixtures of the last Aer=Show he attended. It is part of my employ

after ten (10) seasons to entertain the lives & loves of my clients! They

are bettre to me than i am for my=self, goes a lyric i scarce Amembre.

Thor'sDé, STONY did not haf Time to do the morning office acause

he had to take his new car to D-Town. It was a schmall pity considering

that a new Person had come to Pray with our mere two. WE clapst

hands and did the Great supplication togethre. For the rest of it, i went

late to the EPISCOPALIANS, with Ellie in the chapel. Only the second

Time. Hey! it's right off my living room that's fillt with squirls. Mop!

It was the bike all Friday to the Food Pantry, and WE had just the

perfect numbre of People to do the werk. The efficiency of the restock

is nearly constantly Improving; i am glad to be partnered with it.

DELROY had a good time chuckling at my Pianoism as well...i go where

the instruments are. [it may be said,«Slac goes to cherches becos there

is music there AND he can sing & play.» i won't argue agin it.] Plink!

That night, in solitude, i finally warsht my dark, dark Laundry.

Of Yester i will say it wasn't as Crasy as it has been, 'tho WE filled the

entire six (6) roll=offs to Topping. Customer DALE came at one thirty

and askt me,«Where's the guy in charge?» It was the best ride up AND

the best ride back, alltogethre, undre summer skies, warm & sunny.

Aday was just as good, of a consideraxn. That^ wheeling~slac~

An omnibus numbre of Democrats failt to endorse Arlen

Specter as their Senator. Or so the headline stated in a

Newspaper i don't buy. Such things ever happen in yearoff

Elexions. Isn't it far past the time WE called for a Convention

Yet~iffen WE play jungle=music into the early dawn, they

Black Bags: we have an aschtounding lack of them, a non

The Concierege will breeze through Amorro to correct the

Thursday, June 3rd, 2o1o...we join our schtory in Progress:

Whither went MAY? i used to journalise on a much more regular

basis; now, i cannot find the Time to check my filtered email

at the Liberry! i've kinda misst Mothers' Day, Memorial Day

[the liberry was closed that Saterdé & Mondé] and even BLADE's

birfdé on account of it. {i get the creeping feeling i'm just

gonna get behinder and behinder in a rotary fashion} The lord

of the manour was good and busy all week Putting the bunkhaus

in ordre for the Season & shewing that empty Room which has

become filled. The engineer also came for me the Sun=Day afore

Memory--WE launcht at Our greek diner, walkt the Flowre Park,

Snatcht up ROCKY at the Gresser Park, took in that Persian

So there i was, wind=schprinting toward the donut shoppe on

a slowly deflating rear tire, when a Platinum blonde called out

to me,"I like your A**!" Called i back from my gifted schteed,

"Thanks! i werk on it!" What kind of girl shouts out at a rider

from a fast moving car for such an Encounter? Overmore--i was

wearing my loose carpentre jeans with full pockets; why must

i endure this degrading feminist commentary? Acause it has come

full circle to me, as the wheels turn under me. Gracias.

Thor'sday after, MIAMI had his InterWeb reconnected; he's a

real mess without it. That night i attended an art reception

at the art Skool. Friday i visited the Market and purchased a

tire tube for Rocinante [the bike]. Saterdé was busy at the

parish Yard, but TURTLE & MAISY managed to fone my office

during the evening lull. {it is ever good for the Engineer to

schpend Time at the seashore} Athen~it turned rainy and cold

for the midst of the month...Tuesday, the 27th, SCOTT repaired

my back tire AND i've been cruising solidly since.

The BETHLEMITE and i had to repair the cleaning lever on the

stove that week; the concierge had werkt it to the 'point of

Failure' but i broke it. Then he got to go back to his place.

The last day of April, the food pantry took in eleven thousand

two hundred and thirty six (11,236) pounds of Nourishment; i

was top=side feeding the boxes onto the Conveyor. That was also

the Day i rescued my scrips from the box=schtore, by bus AND by

bicycle. Tuesday last, i revisited the soop kitchen after a long

absence; the cherch was also having a funeral upstairs. That

night i trimmed my Amish beard...i still don't know what i'm

gonna do with it in the coming days. [suggestions?] Wednesday,

i rode the bike toward werk as well as back; with an early start

A good shave would probly endear me to my very

own Customers on the morro; that could Happen.

{i travel fast & fervently with Companions and come

to nearly Nothing; it's my VITALISM.} *BOOTS*

Mondé, April 12th, 2o1o...and it's been so long since i even

bothered to make a good shaving! it's like i can never schteal

more than a few moments for my=own=self in the Bunkhaus.

[STONY tells me it's Healthier for me to Live in community.]

Yesterdé, it was ne'er so crasy on the Yard, BUT i did haf to

send a Customer home. He brang grass...i explained that he

couldn't leaf it with me...he off=loaded the remaindre of his

yardwaste...THEN, he shovelled the grass into the bin also.

So~i Xplained it again, handed him the Parish brochure And

sent him on his Way. {he'll hate me for awhile for being such

an hard=ass, but i've already Forgiven him his transgression}

Wèzné night was werse for anothre thing~one of the Parish

code officers brot a tarpfull of Yardwaste, i helpt him place it

in one of the full bins, AND my ishpod came loose and fell in!

This is a disastre for my little musik machine, which is after

all a GIFT from my Sister...i am Praying to Anthony that it

wasn't crusht NOR destroyed, but that it will retourn to me OR

that i will find it upon Visiting the county facility this Tuesdé.

[i can't image such a delicate object being summarily tosst out.]

Meanwhile~the rear=tire on the bicycle has lost and gained

aer a numbre of Times in the current week. i rode it flat for a

mile afore filling it Wednesday night on the commute. These are

complex matters for a simpleton--grading up the bike, Visiting

and paying the Doctor, chasing miscreants off my sweet Werk,

forbearing the bunkhaus dramas as they happen, AND holding my

Sanity in Perfect harmony. Perhaps.

Thank goodness i haf a genie looking after me from A-far.

raif

There's a lot more to write on a cold day...but i gotta

get this crud to the Library and post it vaguely, badly.

Oh! MIAMI's girlfriend is cooking for the haus and

warshing the bulk of the dishex; i'm not gonna be the

one to send her Away. ~likeable*bikeable slac~

Tuesday, March 30th, 2o1o...as usual, i schpeak too soon.

MIAMI sent his girl=friend away yesterdé as i was at werk.

He said something to the effect that 'she wasn't the Person

she made herself out to be.' i consoled him,"i'm not the person

i pretend to be either." Friday, April Second, 2o1o...and no

sooner had He sent her away than he was wiring money to

anothre girlfriend! {i should haf such problems, and such cash}

Wèzné, after learning that MIAMI needs to cut out all his

refined [white] foods, i bicycled toward the bus=stop afront

of the Ukey cherch, where i met my community college friend,

JOHN. He told me the sad schtory of How he was robbed of his

wallet & celfone at knife=point the night before. i did not tell

him that i, myself, haf become very Aware of situations posing

Endangerment since i was assaulted in that very cherch park

lot in 1993 (Nineteen-hundred and ninety-three). Crime and

evil are evrepresent in the modern werld. Once werking, i would

make a list of my customers...MATT the publik werker, BOB &

his wife [they gave me the bicycle], ALICE, DALE & MORTY [he

werkt with my Pop & is Episcopal]...DON who loves aerplanes,

KEVIN who met the engineer, LINDA who signs my pay=stubs,

Italian FRANK and DENNIS, the Jeep drifer. All them i serve.

Thor'sdé, i saw the BETHLEMITE roomy off on his bicycle and it

made me late for the morning office. {it's not good for a man

to sing alone in Jah's temple} Later, at the METHODISTRY, We

set a record for Food collection...Pastor JAMES called it six tons

(1200 pounds) and even with the conveyor belt, We all felt it!

Also~by anothre pastoral miracle, loaves came by car. The cherch

basement was fuller than my Dumpsters® by almost. It was truly

a perfect schpring dé to do such a thing. A good mandatus...

i finisht the guest=soop while palavering with CHICAGO.

Aday was bike=riding day in the wonderfull sunshine; the market

was ubercrowded [i go for the free samples]. TERRY gave me the

yester-papre & i wisht wholesome holydés to Irish JANE and MARK

of the Café on Eighteenth Avenue. This was after i schpent the morn

in the Liberry & afore i checkt the food stamp damage for a stalk

of Celery. {one can get around quite nicely on a Huffy® bicycle}

Amorro should be a bear at werk, tho i am to=it=up AND the Rising

Day shall be enjoyed with CAT and her kindren. SABAOTH~i must

amembre to schprinkle lamb's=blood on the doorway of the bunker

afore the long sun sets...Wouldn't want the DeathAngel taking any

of me nor Mine. There will be more pedaling as well. ~wheeltslac~

NB: i also caught up with ED & JEFF of the mansion Neighbory...

They know i am doing well to ride into Them on two (2) circles.
